THE TEAM at a family-run air filter manufacturing and services company in Waterlooville celebrated its 50th anniversary last Friday (July 29, 2022) with the help of the Mayor of Havant.
Jasun Envirocare, which was established in 1972, welcomed the Mayor of Havant, Councillor Diana Patrick, as its VIP for the day.
Leigh Regin, Air and Water Services Director at Jasun Envirocare, at Stratfield Park on Elettra Avenue, says: “We are absolutely thrilled to be celebrating 50 years in business and were honoured to welcome the Mayor to our site. Cllr Patrick was able to have a guided tour of our service facility, as well as join us for lunch and to have a slice of celebration cake with our staff.
“It’s a fantastic achievement to have successfully completed five decades in business across all our sites in the UK. This is a company-wide celebration to mark our overall years in business. We have been trading in Waterlooville since 1990, so would have marked our 30th anniversary in 2020 but were unable to do so due to Covid, so this is a double celebration for both of our milestones. As well as our sites in the UK, we’ve also expanded worldwide and have significant operations in Europe too. We’re going from strength to strength and have lots more to come in the future, with exciting times ahead to look forward to as well and Waterlooville is very much a big part of that.”
Jasun Envirocare Plc was first established in London in 1972 as Jasun Filtration Plc and purchased the company Envirocare Services Ltd in 2010. The companies formally united as Jasun Envirocare in 2011.
Envirocare Services had been trading since 1990 from Waterlooville and was predominantly a service company providing air hygiene, duct cleaning, water hygiene and legionella control services.
These services were put under the umbrella of the company’s Service Division, which also encompasses LEV Services and Filter Fitting.
Since becoming the Service Division of Jasun Envirocare, significant investment has been made and the service division has grown from strength to strength.
The Waterlooville premises has doubled in size and the number of personnel has increased from 15 to 45.
Leigh added: “We have an excellent team and now provide a nationwide service of all disciplines to our customers and all our service personnel receive extensive training to achieve the highest levels of competences.
“We have grown to be one of the UK’s leading air and water service providers, priding ourselves on our professional competences.”
In 1999 Jasun Envirocare launched https://www.jfilters.com/, making it the first air filters company worldwide to offer its full range of products online.
The company, whose strapline is ‘a breath of fresh air,’ has a proud history and reputation as a provider of quality bespoke and standard filtration products and services.
It provides a ‘one-stop-shop’ for filter supply, distribution and installation to meet all commercial air hygiene and water treatment needs. It manufactures and supplies filter products that meet International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) and European (Eurovent) requirements.
Jasun Envirocare was formed by Trevor and Barbara Foot. It has grown to be one of the UK’s leading air filter manufacturers and service providers and prides itself on its family values.
The name Jasun was created from the founder’s daughter’s names, Jane and Susan, taking the Ja from Jane’s name and the Su and n from both Susan and Jane. While the company is now onto its third generation of family members, its founding principles remain true.
