We can cover a lot in a fully interactive small-group virtual session, which we carry out via Teams or Zoom, especially as many of the interviews by TV and radio are now over these mediums.
We go through all the key training points and conduct realistic interview scenarios and give practical radio, TV and print-media interview practise with feedback.
Remote one-to-one media training is available for individuals (two hours), or as half-day (three hours) sessions that can be carried out as a small group (up to four people).
A full-day remote session (six hours) is suitable for groups of up five or more up to eight people.
All that is required for participants is to have access to a good broadband connection and an up-to-date, reasonably fast webcam-enabled Windows or Mac laptop/PC.
In these sessions, we cover:
- Effective preparation for the interview – how to stay calm and relaxed as well focusing on the task in hand regarding the message you wish to get across
- What journalists are looking for from an interview, whether print, TV or radio – understanding the ‘media mindset’
- How to come up with good soundbites and what to say on TV and radio
- Getting your message across – techniques for radio and TV
- How to deal with difficult questions should they arise
- TV and radio dos and don’ts
- There will be an element of print media, TV and radio interview practice and feedback including live/recorded interviews remotely online and down the telephone line as well as those that might be required in a radio studio and with a TV crew.
Fees for remote sessions:
- One-to-one media training is available for individuals (two hours): £160.80 plus VAT
- A half-day (three hours) can be carried out as a small group (up to four people): £241.20 plus VAT
- A full-day session (six hours) for groups of up five or more up to eight people: £482.40 plus VAT.
If you would like in person sessions, these can be arranged and would be quoted for separately to allow for travel and other additional costs.
