RUMWELL Farm Shop’s Charity Quiz & Supper Evenings in 2026 will continue to support Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA) with proceeds from each event going to the charity (January 2026).
The Farm Shop’s first Charity Quiz & Supper Evening of the year is on January 30 and staff have re-selected 2025 Charity of the Year, DSAA, to benefit in 2026.
Sophie Mitchell, Partner at the multi-award-winning Rumwell Farm Shop, which is on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, says: “Our four Quiz & Supper Evenings in 2025 were a great success and from these events alone we raised £2,650 for DSAA.
“In 2026, we’ve decided to host our quizzes, once again, for DSAA. Proceeds from these evenings, starting with our January quiz on Friday, January 30, will be donated to DSAA, which has recently launched a major appeal to expand its life-saving service.”
With demand rising, and gaps in coverage during the early morning hours, DSAA is investing £30 million to fund a second helicopter, upgrade its base, and prepare for potential 24-hour operations.
Sophie adds: “DSAA wants to reach more patients and deliver critical care where and when it’s needed most, and this is why we have chosen to rollover our support for the charity through until the end of 2026.
“The charity’s new 2ndHeli Appeal aims to raise £1 million and we’re lending our support, with your help. Every mission is funded by donations, so your assistance by attending events like our quizzes in 2026 is essential.”
DSAA was tasked to thousands of missions last year, however, as demand for this critical care service continues to rise, the costs do too.
A total of £30 million from the charity’s reserves has been allocated to fund the purchase and fit out of a second helicopter, the redevelopment of DSAA’s operational base and key modernisation projects.
These commitments will also ensure the charity is able to retain financial security while preparing for potential 24-hour operations in the future, given the ongoing additional cost that would entail.

During Rumwell Farm Shop’s Charity Quiz & Supper Evening, there will also be a fundraising raffle with a selection of great prizes from the Farm Shop and from its suppliers and friends. All the money collected from the raffle will be donated to the charity.

Tickets cost £23 per person for a two-course hot supper and include a £1 quiz entry fee. Tables must be booked in advance and online.
