CROWDS gathered to welcome Santa when he arrived on a John Deere tractor at a multi-award-winning farm shop in Somerset last Sunday (December 7, 2025).

Father Christmas, who brough some elves with him, is now set-up in his cosy, snowy cabin at Rumwell Farm Shop with slots still available to book to see him.

Anne Mitchell, Partner at the Farm Shop, located just off the M5 on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, says: “Father Christmas gave his reindeer a well-deserved rest ahead of Christmas Eve, choosing instead to make his arrival this year with us aboard a modern John Deere tractor. He was in the link box with his two, main trusty elves.

“We played Christmas songs for everyone to sing-along to while they waited for him to arrive and some of his cheerful elves also handed out sweets. Once he’d made this grand entrance Father Christmas mingled with the crowds and chatted to children. He was warmly welcomed by all the families who gathered to share in the festive occasion with us.

“We were delighted to see such a strong turnout once again for our free arrival event. Father Christmas is now comfortably settled in his cosy cabin and there is still some availability for children to visit and meet him.

“Tickets cost £15.50 per child and can be purchased at www.rumwellfarmshop.com/father-christmas-cosy-cabin/. Booking is essential and must be made via our website. We allow a maximum of four children with an appropriate adult, or two. Price includes an age-appropriate present.”

Father Christmas is in his cosy cabin grotto at Rumwell Farm Shop again this Saturday, December 13, 9am-5pm and Sunday, December 14, 9am-4pm.
