We’re a dynamic Public Relations (PR) agency with national and regional retail, business, hospitality, horticultural and charity clients looking for another new Trainee PR Consultant to join its team this spring 2021.
Our team is small and prides itself on a personal approach when it comes to client care. However, we’re growing rapidly and new clients are coming on board all the time, hence the vacancy.
The role includes being trained to produce media/press releases under the guidance of the Managing Director and senior PR team and liaising with clients and the media.
Candidates are required to have a good general education to a minimum of three ‘A’ Levels at grade C or above. A degree and/or work experience in a related field is desirable but not essential. Applicants must also have a working knowledge of IT and Microsoft software (Word and Excel), as well as social media. Some experience with Zoom or equivalent, Mailchimp and WordPress websites is desirable, but training can be given.
Skills and attributes required include excellent verbal and written communication skills, a flexible approach, an ability to work to deadlines, excellent attention to detail, good project management skills, confidence, creativity and a willingness to learn.
The position is currently based at home and the necessary IT and telephone equipment will be provided, however some time at our offices, when it is safe to do so, may be required for training purposes and for future working requirements, as needed.
Full training will be given to the successful applicant. A driving licence is desirable but may not be essential. However, you may need to come to the office for training and, also, for work in the future, so will need access to transport as required.
Our trainee starting salary is £16,000 per annum for a 37.5-hour week. This is a full-time position.
Pay progression is based on personal performance and experience.
The deadline for applications is midnight Friday, April 19, 2021. Initial online interviews using Zoom, Facetime or an equivalent, will take place the following week for successful applicants at mutually agreeable times.
To apply, please email hello@porcupinepr.co.uk for a full job description and an application form. Thank you.
