SOMERSET families are invited to an award-winning farm shop for one of two ‘horrifying’ Halloween parties complete with a magic show, fancy dress competition and carved pumpkins to take home (October 2026).
Due to popular demand in previous years, Rumwell Farm Shop is offering either a lunchtime 12-2pm party or a teatime 4-6pm one, with places expected to sell quickly for both.
Sophie Mitchell, Partner at Rumwell Farm Shop, which is on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, says: “Our Children’s Halloween Parties have become one of the highlights of the year and we’re delighted to be hosting two sessions in 2026 so even more families can join in the fun.
“Children can enjoy a spooky tea, a monster mash disco, magical entertainment from Krazy Kev and Dinky Dino, Halloween games and the chance to design their own pumpkin masterpiece, which our award-winning Rumwell Café chefs will carve for them to take home.”
Children are encouraged to come dressed in their best fancy dress costumes. A prize will be awarded for what the judges deem as the most impressive outfits at each party.
Youngsters will also be able to draw a spooky face on a pumpkin before the Rumwell team scoops it out, carves the design and returns it ready for them to take home. The event will also feature a disco and a range of Halloween-themed games and activities.
Children’s tickets cost £17.50 and include admission, activities, a pumpkin and a beastly burger and fries, pudding and a juice. Vegetarian, vegan and Gluten Free options are available. Please state any dietary requirements when booking.
Adult tickets are £9.50 per person and include admission, a hot drink and a cake.
All children must be accompanied by an appropriate parent or guardian with a valid ticket.
Booking is essential and can only be made via the Rumwell Farm Shop website. When booking, visitors should select either the 12pm session or the 4pm one. Both are on Saturday, October 31.
